Balancing language learning

I have some trouble with balancing my language learning. I'd like to spend more time on Japanese but I'm also learning Italian and that is slightly more urgent as I'm going to Italy in May.
It might take years before I'm able to go to Japan.
And of course there is also life outside of language learning to balance with language learning.

Most people will say that you shouldn't learn more than one language at a time in the first place.
I don't think it's necessarily an issue when two languages are so different to each other as Japanese and Italian. But balancing time and energy is very important.

It wasn't a problem at all when I started learning Japanese as I just spent most of it on Japanese and just a bit on Italian to keep it fresh.
I guess I should turn it around until my holiday but I don't want to stop the progress of my Japanese.
I'm still figuring out what's the best way to balance everything for now.

I'm not posting as often as I don't have much to say currently.

A month further

I haven't posted in more than a month because I didn't have much to say.
I was mostly revising everything to get everything properly in my head.

I have started learning new things again though. I'm currently doing mostly lingodeer. It's a lot harder then just learning kanji or vocabulary of course but I'm doing quite okay.
I spent too long not doing grammar though so I should redo some old lessons.

Kanji done

I'm finally done with my kanji. Well not truly done of course as I will need quite some time to repeat everything.
But yeay it feels good to have been through all the 2200 kanji.

I will use the again button quite a lot the coming weeks to let everything sink in my brain properly.
The time spent on repeating it will be a lot less then learning them for the first time, so I should have some extra time to focus on the vocabulary.

Happy new year

I'm a bit late already but I didn't get the chance to do it earlier.

My biggest goal this year is to practice my Japanese every single day, even if it's just 5 minutes.
I missed only a few days days in total in the past few months so I'm already quite well but I want to make 2018 even better.

The past few weeks I have only used anki, hopefully I can get back into the habit of using the other apps as well.
I'm almost done with the kanji deck so the workload will go down for anki.

I will write my update on the kanji soon.

More than 3/4 of kanji done

I didn't realise I passed the 3/4 mark a few days ago.
The forecast says I have 24 days left. I kind of hoped that I would be able to finish it before new year.
But unless I manage to break through my mental block I can't go faster as I already have issues with the new kanji sticking.
The older ones are pretty solid by now though, so that's nice.
The first 1/4 is already pushed a few months in the future.

Memrise 3 almost finished

I hoped I would have completed memrise 3 by now but I have about 80 words/sentences left.
I shouldn't take much longer now, maybe just tomorrow even as I tend to do more on Fridays.

Overall it feels like I kinda hit a plateau at the moment. Especially the new kanji don't seem to stick as well.
I will just keep going for now though and hopefully it will become better soon.
I'm gonna need to adjust my schedule a bit anyhow in January, so if the problem continues I can deal with it then.

Clozemaster

I found a new app again : clozemaster.
I'm not exactly far enough with Japanese to use it.
But I like trying it out anyhow. So far I see great value for it in a few months.

Meanwhile the kanji is coming along quite well. And I'm determined to finish memrise ASAP.
