mind your Japanese class 1

Mind your Japanese puts everything in a word bag separated in nouns, adverbs etc.
For the first class I had to learn 15 nouns and 10 adverbs, the nouns in a catapult game and the adverbs in a really annoying jumping game.

Nouns :

Ari=ant
Beddo=bed
Ringo=apple
Ichigo=strawberry
Banana=banana
Densha=train
Basu=bus
Kuruma=car
Usagi=rabbit
Bo-to=boat
Mushi=insects
Jetensha=bicycle
Isu=chair
Zou=elephant
Neko=cat

Adverbs :

Midori=green
Aoi=blue
Shiroi=white
Kiiroi=yellow
Akai=red
Amai=sweet
Chiisai=small
Takai=tall
Ookii=big
Hikui=short

there was no grammar yet, and after this I have to do a test. But I’m not so happy about the game, so I’m not sure if I want to continue playing it.

My japanese coach lessons 1 trough 5

I knew 21 words before starting, so let’s see how many words I 'learned' in these 5 lessons.
first lesson, 4 new words
second lesson, 2 new words

Introduction

I decided I would finally start learning Japanese, and looked a bit around if I could find games for the ds to learn it.  I found 2 beginner games :
-my Japanese coach
-mind your language , learn Japanese
So I decided to try them out. Both of them use minigames to learn words,
My Japanese coach has a lot of lessons and to go to the next lesson you have to finish the last one. I did the first 5 ones and I liked it. Not all games are the best way to learn the words but after I did the lesson I can learn outside the game. And for the hiragana, katakana and kanji, I read on the internet that there are some stroke order mistakes, so check them if you want to learn the proper stroke order. I like the fact that the words in each lesson have a theme. In every lesson you can hear the words and compare your prononciation with the recording, and see how it’s written in hiragana (I guess) and write it yourself. There is some grammar explanation in the games but I don’t think I’m going to learn the grammar from the games (except for the colours )
O btw the words I knew before starting :

Konnichiwa
Sayounara
Hai
Iie
Arigatou
Watashi
Karaoke
Karate
Anime
Manga
Romaji
Hiragana
Kataka
Kanji
Tsunami
samurai
Ninja
Neko
Kuroi
Shiroi
Midori

Maybe I knew some more but not a lot XD
